Individuals who have been charged guilty of criminal activities may still be allowed to enter Canada depending on certain circumstances- the crime committed, how long ago it was and how the accused has behaved since then. Such individuals may be granted entry if:
- they meet the legal terms to deemed rehabilitated
- they have applied for rehabilitation and gotten an approval
- they were granted a record suspension
- they obtain a temporary resident permit
